[IP] Soft Toy
Making Soft Toys is a great way to develop spatial sense. Soft toys are loved by every child, but when you make them, no matter how they turn out, the math conversations are extremely valuable, and the memories created are priceless!
Designing a toy from scratch forces the use of 'seeing' how 2D-Nets transform into 3D-Objects.
These toys can be made from any material of your choice - fabric, yarn, even cardboard! Depending on your choice, this can become an exercise in tenacity as well as mathematics. Learning to stick with something for the long haul is a life skill to be developed, not only a requirement for mathematics success.
