Stop me if any of this sounds familiar

  • You know your teenager is struggling with mathematics, but you have no idea where to start, or how to even make a plan of action.
  • Last school year was simply a struggle
  • You KNOW they worked their butt off,
  • You Know they do extra study
  • They’ve even sought out extra help,

But it just doesn’t seem to ‘stick’, they’re still floundering.

I Get it! But it’s time to put a stop to this! So what’s the alternative?

I’m Niamh Wrenne, and all of these all too common issues that have resulted in me making these groups available.

I help proactive teenagers, who want to eliminate their math struggles, in the comfort of their own home, removing the continuous and disruptive, time consuming need of trips to a tutor.

Spend a little time with me. I teach teens, not only the mathematics they need to know, but how to take autonomy over their learning, build agency, build ‘grit’.

Online Math Groups can be an incredible way for your teenager to learn and an extremely affordable way for you to offer them the extra help they need. They can also simply be ‘another class’ that your child ‘must’ attend every week, and result in little to no visible improvement.

When teenagers work with me, this is what they can expect to experience …

  • The ability to work from their own home, without the distraction of a classroom.
  • Incredible focus, as even in a group setting, what the tutor does is what your teen sees.
  • The ability to ask/type questions without the ‘feeling’ they are interrupting the session.
  • The facility to access and re-watch/pause/rewind video material as they need to after the session is complete.
  • The opportunity to do assigned work quickly and not have copious amounts of work sheets to complete!
  • The ability to do ‘small group work’ with peers.
  • Learning to work with ‘Accountability Partners’ in between sessions (if they want to).
  • Have a constant source of contact with me during the week, between sessions.
  • Freedom to contact me regarding school work during the week.
  • EVERYTHING accessed from ONE website page so time is not wasted on yet another tech learning curve that is not necessary.

If this sounds like something your teenager would like to experience, then I would love to work with them.  I have four groups to choose from.

If you are ready to put a stop to your teens math problems ….

  • If you’re done seeing them struggle
  • If you’re done seeing them loose confidence in themselves and their abilities
  • If you want to help them take their math learning to a whole new level
  • If you want to see the light come back on
  • If you want to see them excited about math.

It’s time. No more ‘looking around’ for a tutor. No more excuses … ‘it’s too expensive’ or all the ‘good’ tutors are booked up! None of that is true!

What Your Teenager WILL NOT Get

  • Small group work and accountability buddies (if they want them)
  • Easy submission of assigned work.

An Overview of the Tutoring Platform

Mistakes are proof you are learning.  Mistakes are something our school systems have made ‘bad’.  Teenagers are terrified of making mistakes, getting stuff wrong, or looking foolish!  But that’s how we all learn.  They are not robots.

With me, mistakes are EXPECTED, respected, inspected then corrected.  This is the process of learning!

If you have found yourself saying ….

“It’s okay honey – ‘we’re just not math people’”  to make them feel better about themselves or their situation …..

STOP! I can’t make it any more clear than this.

Every Person is a ‘Math Person’.

Every person. Adult or child. Male or female. Anyone can be excellent at math.

If they have the desire and work ethic to be great at maths, then I have the ability, to show them how to achieve this!

Your teenagers future is immensely bright.  The world is most certainly their oyster.  But remember …

“No grit – no pearl”.

To become good at math is a simple process –

that is – it’s uncomplicated –

but it’s not easy! It takes effort to become good at anything.

Not sure if this is right for your teenager?

Honestly, online learning is NOT right for everyone.  It’s not a golden bullet for learning problems and honestly I’d rather help you figure out if it’s not right for your teenager BEFORE you sign up, rather than waste your time and money!  So, let’s figure it out.

ONLINE GROUP TUTORING IS RIGHT FOR YOUR TEENAGER IF …..

ONLINE GROUP TUTORING IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOUR TEENAGER IF …..

  • If they are invested in their own learning (or want to be)
  • If they are proactive, can follow instructions,
  • If they are ready to believe in themselves again, ready to be done with their math issues, and ready to do the work required to get there.
  • If they are action takers, and don’t expect to ‘learn by osmosis’ by attending a class or watching a few videos.
  • If they enjoy (or at least are not resistant to) being on a computer.
  • If when they are given the opportunity to ‘reach out’ for help, they wont be hesitant to take it!
  • If being on a computer is not something they enjoy.
  • If this is something YOU think they need, but they don’t!
  • If they are looking for a ‘magic pill’ that will ‘fix’ everything in a jiffy!
  • They are stuck with the belief that they just can’t learn maths. They CAN, but they must absolutely believe that.

It might seem strange that I’m trying to talk you OUT of purchasing access to these Tutoring Groups – but if it isn’t right for your teenager, then it doesn’t do any of us any good if you join. You’re not going to be happy if it doesn’t help them, right? This all starts by making sure Group Tutoring is right for your child BEFORE you purchase.

If there is anything at all you are still uncertain about, anything I haven’t made clear, any concerns or questions then please join me in the Math Momentum Community  or Math Momentum where I’ll be happy to answer any of your questions. Write a comment, or feel free to private message me.

What Others Have to Say!

It's difficult to watch your child struggle with math. It's harder when you know that child works his butt off, does the required studying and even seeks extra help, and still can't quite "get it." Enter Niamh. Before the second session, I saw the light come back on for my son. He actually UNDERSTOOD the content and was excited for the next lesson. This was a life-changing 8 weeks. We cannot thank you enough, Niamh! - RT
Every week my daughter and Niamh meet for an hour of tutoring and it works wonderfully. For my daughter it is a great experience to learn from Niamh and I can see her improving. ... Sure, some things are a bit slower, as you need to write on the screen. Still that slow pace sometimes gives the learner a bit more comfort. To close, I don't think you need to be across time-zones to enjoy the benefits of meeting your Maths educator or tutor via Zoom. I'd strongly recommend that you contact Niamh Wrenne Juhl for more info.
Niamh is a very gifted math teacher ... she has a way of simplyfying math that makes absolute sense. My daughter has developed a love of math because of Niamhs approach. She is an extraordinary teacher.
